Job summary

Murphy is seeking a Senior Design Coordinator to help deliver high‑quality civil engineering designs to programme and budget. You will assist the Design Manager, prepare briefs for design packages, and coordinate with internal and external teams to produce integrated, buildable designs. Strong CAD skills and experience in ProjectWise are essential.

You will manage design submissions, update trackers, and contribute to design reviews while travelling as required to support multi‑project delivery.

Qualifications

Significant experience in a design coordination role.
Experience coordinating design within civil engineering.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and CAD-based tools (AutoCAD, ProjectWise).
Experience managing staff, clients, figures, issues and programmes.
Willingness to travel and flexibility for site/field work.
Member of a recognised engineering institution; Incorporated Engineer or Chartered or working towards membership is desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist the Design Manager to deliver high quality designs to budget and programme.
Prepare briefs/remits for design packages and for site investigation and survey packages.
Coordinate with external and internal design and construction teams to deliver integrated, buildable designs.
Review submissions for quality and compliance with design standards.
Update design trackers on an ongoing basis.
Produce minutes and schedules for Design Review Meetings.
Assist the wider engineering team with engineering input.
