About the Role

As part of our continued expansion, we’re looking to hire a Senior Design & Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary projects within the aviation sector—one of our fastest-growing business areas. This role involves full responsibility for complex projects, from coordinating design and build efforts to ensuring excellence at every stage of delivery.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and manage aviation-related design and construction projects from inception to completion
• Act as the key point of contact for clients and maintain strong working relationships
• Coordinate internal disciplines and external consultants across all phases
• Oversee procurement, contract management, design delivery, and risk mitigation
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, building codes, and sustainability goals
• Monitor progress against quality, budget, and performance indicators
• Encourage a collaborative environment and support innovation throughout the project lifecycle

What You’ll Bring

• A degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Chartered status (e.g. RIBA, MICE, CIOB) or on track to achieve it
• A minimum of 8 years' experience in design/project management, preferably within consultancy or design & build settings
• A strong track record in delivering complex infrastructure or aviation-sector projects
• Solid knowledge of planning regulations, JCT/NEC contracts, and public sector procurement processes
• Outstanding leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage clients effectively
• Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and project management software (e.g. MS Project or Primavera)

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with sustainable design approaches and ESG initiatives
• Experience working on international or culturally diverse projects
• Competency in BIM Level 2 environments
