Job summary

We do this by making contemporary conscious clothing for the modern woman. Beaumont Organic introduces two collections a year along with a collection of accessories that encompass the brands clean look and contemporary styling.

We are seeking an organised, motivated and creative Senior Design and Product Developer to take ownership of our design and production strategy for the next year. The ideal candidate will also share our values of quality and ethical production.

You will have a hands-on role both ensuring the smooth operation of quality & timely production from our factories in Portugal, and in creating tech packs and designing future collections from concept to finished article. The role is largely autonomous reporting directly to Hannah, our CEO and working closely with her on design concepts and direction.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible impact in a purpose-led business and work closely with a small supportive, collaborative team.

Key aspects to the role:

Designing modern and fresh collections and colour palettes for our seasonal ranges, incorporating new and innovative fabrics and techniques each season, and creating detailed CADs and tech packs for suppliers.

Ensuring the sample collection arrives in time for the photoshoot, marketing material and sales, and helping to create a strong seasonal Campaign.

Ensuring factories have everything they need to proceed with production, including final technical specifications and POs, managing the production schedule to achieve deliveries on time.

Responsibilities will include:

Production

  • Planning and organising production schedules, overseeing all production processes to keep key deadlines on track.
  • Managing sample requests and receipt at all stages, from initial development with Protos and Salesmen, through to final Red seals and Production shipment samples.
  • Creating and maintaining all technical aspects of the tech packs, including grading and all production specifications.
  • Final sign off on all styles for production, including fit, graded spec, fabric and trims, and care labels and branding.
  • Completing quality control checks and managing this process both with suppliers and internal B2C and B2B departments.
  • Coordinating deliveries between factories and internal operations department.
  • Placing seasonal PO’s with the factory and confirm EX factory dates.
  • Managing the critical path ensuring dips, bulks and samples are on time and approved.
  • Uploading all the styles from the critical path onto our order processing software.
  • Maintaining and developing close working relationships with the factories.
  • Attending seasonal trips to Portugal to visit the factories.
  • Managing fabric testing report and sustainability certification, ensuring the fabrics we choose have full transparency when initiating the designs and requesting relevant accreditations ready for production.

Design

  • Leading the design and development of the collection, working closely with the CEO in line with the brand’s identity.
  • Carrying out strategical range reviews using past season best-selling styles and colours analysis, as well as implementing new trends and research to create the new season range.
  • Creating a concept and themes to follow for the new season range direction.
  • Selecting colour palette and colouring up the range as a whole cohesive collection.
  • Creating technical packs for the factories, including detailed CAD specification drawings and information., with an understanding of high quality and construction of garments.
  • Overseeing and managing the fittings process at all sampling stages, and sending fit, construction and design comments to suppliers.
  • Creating and maintaining Line sheets to showcase all styles in the range, to be presented internally for range review and externally for seasonal selling.
  • Assisting on photoshoots with styling, concept and logistics planning.
  • Strong understanding of balancing quality and budget within the design process.
  • Initiating and managing white label projects from development to delivery with suppliers and clients.
  • Collaborating with brands on small capsule edits.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience across both design and product development.
  • Highly proficient in Abode illustrator, Photoshop and Excel software.
  • Excellent communication skills when working with factories, suppliers and clients..
  • Confident working independently and prioritising workload to tight deadlines, whilst also collaborating as part of a small team.

This position is a maternity cover role with an ideal start date of September 2025. It is a fixed-term contract for 13 to 15 months.

Hybrid working from Manchester two days a week.
