Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Practitioner in Medical Dermatology to join a growing team including consultants, registrars and a multidisciplinary workforce. The post focuses on clinical leadership, advanced skin care, and contributing to ongoing service development within a high-performing dermatology department.

The successful candidate will lead dermatology initiatives, work with the MDT, and play a pivotal role in maintaining safe, high-quality patient care

Qualifications

• RN Level 1 NMC Professional Registration
• Advanced communication skills
• Extensive experience working at Advanced level in Dermatology
• Evidence of leadership development
• Detailed knowledge of the NHS agenda and current issues in Nursing
• Working towards, or willingness to consider, PhD-level study

Responsibilities

• Undertake clinical and holistic assessment of skin patients and across other clinical areas as needed
• Provide guidance and expert advice to other members of staff to ensure safe and effective care for skin patients
• Act as a clinical leader within the trust
• Support and guide the ongoing development of skin services across ELHT
• Work closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team to ensure a high standard of care
