Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Consultant Practitioner for Dermatology to join a growing team of consultants, registrars and nurses. The post offers an opportunity to contribute to an expanding skin service and lead multidisciplinary care.

The successful candidate will undertake advanced clinical assessments, provide expert guidance, act as clinical leader, and drive ongoing development of skin services across ELHT, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• RN Level 1 NMC Professional Registration.
• Advanced communication skills.
• Extensive experience at Advanced level in Dermatology.
• Evidence of leadership development.
• Detailed knowledge of the NHS agenda and current issues in Nursing.
• Research activity, publications and/or conference presentations.
• Proven record of leading and effectively managing change across organisations.
• Ability to communicate highly complex/sensitive information and demonstrate negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertake clinical and holistic assessment of skin patients and across other clinical areas as needed
• Provide guidance and expert advice to other members of staff to ensure safe and effective care for skin patients
• Act as a clinical leader within the trust
• Support and guide the ongoing development of skin services across ELHT
• Work closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team to ensure a high standard of care
