Job summary

Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Deputy Head of Procurement - Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) to lead the procurement pipeline and deliver strategic sourcing across major technology initiatives.

You will collaborate with senior digital, technical, finance and procurement stakeholders to ensure value for money, robust governance and successful cost improvement delivery within the Trust’s digital transformation plans.

Qualifications

• Degree in procurement or relevant subject.
• Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supplies or commitment to obtain it.
• NHS procurement experience within a non-clinical category is desirable.
• Experience with Atamis and EFin systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and delivery of DDaT procurement pipeline and complex tenders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies and value-based decisions.
• Ensure compliance with public procurement law and NHS requirements.
• Manage procurement milestones, risks and contract expiries.
• Identify cost savings and CIP opportunities.
• Provide commercial advice and lead negotiations through contract award.
