Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) seeks a Deputy Director for Security Policy and Central Services to shape security strategy, policy, standards and capability across the organisation and beyond. You will lead high-profile services, influence government-wide security thinking and drive transformation to protect citizens while developing the next generation of security professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience leading security policy teams and cross-government security initiatives.
• Strong strategic and policy development skills with ability to translate strategy into action.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across multiple levels of government.

Responsibilities

• Lead dispersed teams across UK locations with clear accountability and high performance.
• Design, consult on and deliver DWP-wide security strategy, policies and standards.
• Act as Deputy Head of Profession for Chief Security Officer, developing capabilities and learning for the security community.
• Oversee the Government Cyber Security Academy and the DWP security education and awareness programme (SEAC).
• Manage business strategy, finances, resilience, workforce and risk within Security and Data Protection.
• Oversee implementation of the DWP Security Strategy and related transformation.
• Ensure efficient operations, budgeting, forecasting and compliance for the security function.
