Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust in Lancashire invites applications for a fixed term Senior Dental Officer to cover maternity leave (Jan 2027–Dec 2027). The role is based at Bacup Health Centre (3 days a week across Bacup and Oak House Accrington). The post involves a full range of primary and special care dentistry, including paediatric dentistry and conscious sedation with mentoring and NHS-aligned standards.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate dental qualification (DSCD or Diploma in Conscious Sedation) is required.
• Full GDC registration without restriction.
• Dental indemnity insurance is required.
• Included on the Performers List without restrictions.

Responsabilités

• Provide a full range of primary care dentistry to retained safety net patients at Bacup Health Centre.
• Provide primary care special care and paediatric dentistry, conscious sedation, and domiciliary care as needed.
• Work at multiple sites across the LSCFT Dental Services footprint.
• Undertake urgent dental care for the service's patients and those contacting the Lancashire Dental Helpline.
• Support Service Leadership Team with management and leadership duties.
• Follow local and national standards and NHS regulations and policies.
