Job summary

V&C Associates is seeking a Senior Garment Technologist to lead all fit, wash, and quality aspects from proto to bulk. You will own garment specifications and work across denim, casual outerwear, and bottoms, coordinating with mills, laundries and factories to ensure accurate production and high quality standards.

The role emphasizes denim bottom fit expertise, pattern/grading mastery, and production readiness while maintaining wash and finish consistency throughout the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on knowledge of denim and washed fabrics and their effect on fit and performance.
• Senior-level experience as Garment Technologist across multiple product categories for high-street fashion brands, with denim bottoms as core strength.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre-wash and post-wash measurements and ensure correct shrinkage allowances.
• Build and maintain wash allowance data by fabric and process.
• Approve wash standards with mills and laundries and ensure consistency from sample to bulk.
• Assess fabrics for shrinkage, stretch, recovery, and wash suitability.
• Understand finishing processes and their effect on measurements and garment life.
• Check trims, labels, pockets, interlinings for wash durability.
• Sign off wash submissions with Designer and laundry.
• Own the fit from proto to production and lead fit meetings.
