Job summary

Shaw Healthcare is seeking a Senior Support Worker for our Llys Hafren home in Wales. You will lead by example, support the Team Leader, and deliver high-quality, personalised care to residents with dementia.

Key duties include safe medication administration, care planning and maintaining accurate records while promoting dignity and independence for residents. Join an employee-owned company with a commitment to development and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential elderly care.
• Experience supporting people living with dementia.
• Confidence in administering medication and maintaining records.
• QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred care tailored to residents’ needs and histories.
• Promote dignity, compassion and respect in all interactions.
• Administer and manage medication safely and in line with policy.
• Observe and respond to changes in residents’ wellbeing.
• Develop relationships with residents, relatives and professionals.
• Contribute to care planning, risk assessments and record keeping.
• Act as a positive role model and uphold Shaw Healthcare values.
