Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain seeks a Senior Health Care Assistant for Charlton Lane Hospital's inpatient wards, within Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. You will support Chestnut, Mulberry and Willow wards, delivering hands-on care to mental health service users, with a focus on dementia and under supervision.

The role is full-time with rotational shifts. NVQ level 3 and the Care Certificate are required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent competency-based training in a relevant health or social care area
• Care Certificate

Responsibilities

• Participate in and assist with delivering care and services to patients and service users in a mental health and social care setting
• Follow the Code of Conduct for Health Care Assistants and Healthcare Support Workers to give safe, compassionate care, and challenge practice that falls short
• Meet the Care Certificate standards
• Take part in reflective practice and training, with regular direct supervision
