Job summary

South East Water Limited is looking for a Delivery Manager to lead a major engineering portfolio, ensuring safe design and delivery within time and budget. You will oversee project managers, manage third‑party suppliers, and use data to drive decisions while aligning with governance and customer needs.

The role requires NEC3/4 accreditation, a relevant engineering degree, and proven senior-management experience within the water sector. A strategic, collaborative leader is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a similar relevant subject.
• NEC3/4 project manager accreditation.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and programmes from initial concept through to delivery.
• Experience at senior management level within a client, consultancy, or contractor organisation.
• Proven engineering delivery experience within water or utilities sectors.
• Strong organisational and resource allocation skills.
• Ability to recruit to ensure teams are fully resourced for delivery.
• Strong people management and collaborative leadership with stakeholders.
• Sound commercial and contract knowledge; proven budget, schedule, and risk management.
• Excellent written and oral communication and ability to influence.

Responsibilities

• Plan & lead the safe design and delivery of a programme to time and budget.
• Accountable for third party suppliers and stakeholders delivering the programme.
• Manage Project Managers and teams supporting the delivery.
• Use evidential data to make objective decisions with stakeholders and customers.
