Job summary

IntaPeople is partnered with a fast growing Cardiff consultancy seeking a Senior Delivery Manager on a fixed-term basis to March 2027, with a view to permanent. The role is hybrid, based from a north Cardiff office, and involves owning end-to-end delivery of client projects and leading diverse teams.

You will manage budgets, risks and dependencies, build strong public sector relationships, contribute to bids and statements of work, and help shape how the business delivers in a dynamic,

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering software projects as Delivery/Programme/Project Manager
• Public sector delivery experience
• Strong financial control, including budgeting, forecasting and resource management
• Experience leading technical teams in Agile and waterfall environments
• Experience contributing to bids or SoWs

Senior Delivery Manager (Fixed Term intially)

Cardiff (Hybrid) | Fixed term to March 2027, with a view to permanent | £55-65,000+

We're working exclusively with a fast growing Cardiff consultancy.

They need a Senior Delivery Manager to take ownership of delivering client projects, lead the delivery teams and help win new work. It’s fast paced and varied, a senior role with real influence as the business grows.

What you’ll be doing

• Owning delivery of client projects end to end, on time, on budget and to scope
• Leading multidisciplinary teams of developers, BAs, designers and testers
• Managing budgets, forecasts, risks and dependencies across several projects
• Building strong relationships with public sector clients and handling the tricky conversations
• Contributing to bids, tenders, statements of work and client pitches
• Helping improve and shape how the business delivers

What you’ll need

• 5+ years delivering software development projects as a Delivery, Programme or Project Manager
• Public sector delivery experience. Ideally with local government, education, the NHS or central government
• Strong financial control, including budgeting, forecasting and resource management
• Experience leading technical teams in Agile and waterfall environments
• Confidence managing senior stakeholders and juggling more than one project
• Experience contributing to bids or SoWs

Nice to have: PRINCE2, MSP, PMP, Scrum or similar, GDS knowledge, and some understanding of AI, as it’s coming up more and more with clients.
