W. R. Berkley in London is seeking a Senior Delegated Underwriting Authority Analyst to oversee the delegated authority portfolio and manage associated risks. You will ensure due diligence, drive pre-bind reviews, and supervise audit cycles with a focus on regulatory compliance and accurate reporting.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across teams, mentor junior staff, and support the Delegated Reporting Manager to maintain timely bordereau processes and robust controls.

Formación

• Strong knowledge of delegated authority management; including due diligence, audit, bordereaux, market systems (e.g. Atlas and DCOM) and regulatory requirements.
• Effective interpersonal skills. Professional and approachable with a ‘can do’ attitude, and the ability to build trust with senior stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Oversight of delegated authority portfolio and associated risks.
• Due diligence into coverholders and third parties for compliance, including new, renewal and Lloyd's coverholder tribunalisations.
• Pre-bind reviews of delegated authority contracts.
• Management of coverholder audit cycle; planning, scheduling, scoping, auditor liaison, and remediation of recommendations.
• Peer review of bordereau management system accounts, mappings and validations with offshore team, liaising with SMEs as needed.
• Liaising with the Delegated Reporting Manager to ensure bordereaux are received timely and to specification.
• Accurate reporting of performance metrics to internal stakeholders, including Delegated Underwriting Group.
• Ensuring systems, controls and record keeping are in place to deliver outcomes.
• Using subject matter knowledge to advise underwriters and troubleshoot issues.
• Supporting development of junior team members and deputising for senior staff.

The Senior Delegated Underwriting Authority Analyst is responsible for the oversight of our delegated authority portfolio and managing associated risks. This encompasses coverholder due diligence, audit management, and ongoing monitoring.

More specifically, this includes:

• Effective and timely due diligence into coverholders and third parties (including new, renewal, and Lloyd's coverholder tribunalisations) to ensure compliance with both regulatory and internal requirements.
• Accurate and timely pre-bind reviews of delegated authority contracts.
• Proactive management of our coverholder audit cycle; including planning, scheduling, scoping, auditor liaison, and the remediation of recommendations.
• Accurate peer review of bordereau management system accounts, mappings and validations created by the offshore team, liaising with SMEs as needed.
• Liaising with the Delegated Reporting Manager to ensure that bordereaux are received in a timely manner and to specification.
• Accurate reporting of performance metrics to internal stakeholders, including participating in the Delegated Underwriting Group.
• Supporting wider efforts to ensure that systems, controls and record keeping are in place to deliver the above outcomes.
• Using subject matter knowledge and experience to advise underwriters and troubleshoot issues.
• Supporting the development of more junior members of the team, and deputising for more senior members of the team where requested.
