Job summary

Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets seeks a Senior Underwriter, Delegated Property based in London to lead delegated property underwriting in line with the business plan and to support profitability and risk management.

You will underwrite new and renewal binders, manage relationships with Coverholders, Brokers, Lloyd’s, and market peers, and provide underwriting support across teams while ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations and company standards.

Qualifications

• Senior underwriter with delegated property experience.
• Knowledge of FCA/PRA and Lloyd’s rules.
• Understanding of UK property market and underwriting principles.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal Property binders within delegated authority limits.
• Manage property binders, monitoring performance, EPI, referrals, and risk trends.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Coverholders, Brokers, Lloyd’s and market peers.
• Regularly review slips, endorsements, risk placements and account performance.
• Support Group Head of Delegated Property with supervision of Underwriters and strategic initiatives.
