Job description

Our client is a leading pensions company based in Glasgow city centre. Due to expansion, they are recruiting for a Defined Benefit, Final Salary Senior Pensions Administrator to work within their close-knit team. The job is available due to new business wins and further expansion, and the successful applicant will be in a key role working at the forefront of the team, also managing your own set of DB and some DC schemes.

Previous technical defined benefit/final salary pensions experience is essential. Additionally, some experience in client management and Defined Contribution schemes would be beneficial. Professional qualifications such as PMI are desirable but not essential, and they will support you in gaining such qualifications. A background within a third-party environment would be ideal but not essential.

You will be working with clients who have a mixture of defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes. Technical knowledge of cradle to grave pensions administration is required, along with a thorough understanding of scheme rules and current legislation, and project management. Responsibilities include:

1. Interacting with trustees, actuaries, and HNW individuals/employers.
2. Quality checking.
3. Training/coaching involved working at a senior level.
4. Elements of client-facing time.
