Job summary

Electus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Training and Requirements Lead in Portsmouth. The role focuses on developing and delivering training for the UK Defence sector and other regulated industries, with hybrid working and travel to sites as required.

You will lead DSAT-based training analyses, design robust training solutions and provide technical leadership across projects, shaping standards and assurance across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading Training Needs Analysis and training solution design.
• Strong practical knowledge of DSAT and JSP 822 in defence or regulated contexts.
• Experience defining training requirements and maintaining traceability across learning outcomes and system requirements.
• Ability to engage with senior customers, lead multidisciplinary teams and make sound technical recommendations.
• Experience acting as a Training Technical Authority or equivalent technical assurance role.

Responsibilities

• Lead training discovery activities, customer workshops and requirements capture to define effective training solutions.
• Lead or oversee Training Needs Analysis (TNA), including role analysis and evaluation of training options.
• Apply DSAT and JSP 822 to ensure training solutions meet operational needs and requirements.
• Determine fidelity and technology requirements for simulation, synthetic and immersive training environments.
• Define and manage training solution and service requirements with traceability from user needs to learning outcomes and acceptance evidence.
• Support verification and validation activities with clear, measurable requirements.
• Assure training solution evidence and readiness for formal customer acceptance.
• Provide technical oversight across projects, reviewing analyses, designs and acceptance plans.
• Develop training methods, templates and assurance criteria aligned with contractual obligations.
• Advise stakeholders on technical risks, scope changes and decisions requiring customer agreement.
