Job summary

Northrop Grumman UK is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile submarine hardware programme within our Defence business. You will steer a multidisciplinary team and oversee design, development and qualification to meet critical national security goals.

You will manage scope, schedule, cost baselines and reporting to senior stakeholders, ensuring robust risk management and quality.

Qualifications

• A proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects.
• Significant experience managing internal and external stakeholders within complex programmes.
• A recognised project management qualification such as APM PPQ or equivalent.
• Experience within Defence, Maritime, Aerospace or closely related highly regulated industries.
• Strong programme planning, financial management and risk management expertise.
• A technical degree, engineering background, or equivalent knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful delivery of complex hardware design and qualification projects against agreed cost, schedule and performance baselines.
• Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and delivery partners.
• Manage project priorities and resolve issues to ensure programme objectives are achieved.
• Maintain accurate financial forecasts, resource plans and programme reporting.
• Provide regular updates on project performance, risks, opportunities and progress to senior stakeholders.
