Job summary

Actica Consulting Ltd. is seeking a Senior Business Consultant to help Defence organisations solve complex challenges, deliver meaningful change and improve operations.

You will work across Defence programmes, building trusted client relationships and delivering practical, evidence-based recommendations. You will own defined workstreams, support junior colleagues and contribute to Actica's Defence capabilities, with a focus on turning complex problems into actionable solutions in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Experience working within, or delivering services to, the UK Defence sector.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems and develop practical solutions.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence building credibility and working collaboratively with stakeholders at different levels of seniority.
• Experience planning or facilitating workshops, interviews or stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to manage priorities with autonomy and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead defined workstreams and smaller consulting assignments from problem definition through to delivery.
• Work with clients to understand objectives, environment and challenges.
• Structure complex problems and develop clear, evidence-based recommendations.
• Undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis to support decisions and delivery.
• Produce high-quality reports, presentations, strategies, and client deliverables.
• Plan and facilitate workshops, interviews and stakeholder meetings.
• Identify and communicate delivery risks, dependencies and opportunities.
• Build credible relationships with military, Civil Service and Defence stakeholders.
• Coordinate small teams and support junior colleagues.
