Job summary

Great Oaks Care Home in Bournemouth is seeking an Experienced Decorator for a fixed-term contract to support a refurbishment project starting January 2027. The role focuses on high-quality preparation, decorating and professional wallpapering across bedrooms, corridors, lounges and communal spaces.

The successful candidate will be highly skilled, detail-oriented and able to work independently to deliver a premium finish within approximately 9–12 months.

Qualifications

• Experience in interior decorating and wallpapering.
• Thorough wall preparation before decorating.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high quality.

Responsibilities

• Decorate bedrooms, corridors, lounges and communal areas to a high standard.
• Prepare walls and surfaces, fill and sand imperfections.
• Hang wallpaper with precise alignment and clean joins.
• Protect surrounding areas and maintain a tidy, safe workspace.
• Travel to other company sites if required.
• Ensure finishes are consistently top quality across areas.
