Job summary

Graphcore is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Debugger team in Cambridge, UK. You will define and implement next-generation debugging capabilities for AI processors and help developers optimize workloads.

You will work across software, firmware and hardware boundaries to expand debugger features, improve performance and streamline workflows. The role offers strong collaboration, ownership, and opportunities to shape tooling used by internal and external users.

Qualifications

• Experience using debuggers to resolve complex program issues.
• Strong low-level programming skills in C, C++ or Rust.
• Strong understanding of processor architectures.
• Ability to communicate clearly across software, firmware and hardware teams.
• A proactive, self-driven approach to improving product quality and functionality.
• Familiarity with compiler toolchains, debugging protocols, Python, IDE development or PyTorch.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement Graphcore's next-generation debugger.
• Adapt and expand debugger functionality across software/hardware boundaries.
