Job summary

Eden Scott is seeking an experienced Senior DB Pensions Administrator to join its growing Glasgow team. You will manage the administration of defined benefit schemes, act as a key contact for members, and work with trustees and third-party providers on complex projects in a hybrid Glasgow office.

The role involves mentoring junior colleagues, overseeing projects to agreed service levels, and contributing to wind-ups, benefit calculations, and GMP reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in defined benefit administration.
• Familiarity with UK pensions legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage projects and work proactively in a fast-paced environment.
• Competence in Microsoft Office and related systems.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to support wider trustee services.

Responsibilities

• Manage the administration of defined benefit pension schemes and act as a primary point of contact for scheme members.
• Liaise with trustees and third-party providers; oversee projects and ensure SLAs are met.
• Mentor junior colleagues and support internal development within the team.
• Contribute to complex tasks such as scheme wind-ups, benefit calculations and GMP reconciliations.

The position will be working hybrid from their Glasgow office, managing a defined portfolio of clients with scope for career progression and internal development. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the administration of defined benefit pension schemes, acting as a key point of contact for scheme members and liaising with trustees and third-party providers. The position involves overseeing projects, mentoring junior colleagues, and ensuring tasks are delivered within agreed service levels. From scheme wind-ups to benefit calculations and forensic research, this role provides variety and scope for professional development. First stage interviews are carried out over teams.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong technical knowledge of pensions, with at least five years’ experience in defined benefit administration.
• Familiarity with UK pensions legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage projects and work proactively in a fast-paced environment.
• Competence in Microsoft Office and related systems.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to support wider trustee services.

Desirable Skills
