Job summary

Exalto Consulting is partnering with a well-established organisation that relies on robust, high-performing data platforms to support critical business services. As they modernise their technology estate and evolve their data capabilities, they are looking to appoint a Senior Database & ETL Engineer to join their team.

You'll be responsible for the administration, support, optimisation, and ongoing development of the organisation's database estate, with a particular focus on Microsoft SQL Server

Qualifications

• Strong T-SQL development and database performance tuning skills.
• Experience administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting enterprise database platforms.
• ETL/ELT development experience, ideally including SSIS.
• Experience supporting backup, recovery, replication, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Experience working with business-critical data pipelines and production support environments.

Responsibilities

• Administer, support, optimise and develop the organisation's database estate (SQL Server, Teradata).
• Design and support ETL/data integration solutions for data movement across platforms.
• Balance operational database ownership with hands-on engineering and data integration work.
• Collaborate with data, applications, infrastructure and analytics teams to support operations and modernisation initiatives.
• Contribute to platform modernisation and continuous improvement efforts.
