Job summary

Relation seeks a Senior Data Scientist to help build generative and predictive models of cellular behaviour using single-cell multiomics. You will work in interdisciplinary teams across biology, computation, and engineering in our London labs to translate insight into therapeutic strategies.

You will bridge experimental and ML teams, developing scalable pipelines, evaluating models, and contributing to publications while advancing data-driven medicine.

Qualifications

• PhD (or equivalent industry experience) in computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related quantitative field.
• Hands-on experience processing large-scale single-cell multiomics data (RNA + ATAC).
• Proficiency with single-cell toolkits (scverse ecosystem) and workflow tools (Nextflow, Snakemake).
• Experience with CRISPR perturbation data and perturbation QC.

Responsibilities

• Process and QC paired single-cell RNA-seq and scATAC-seq data at scale.
• Develop and maintain Nextflow pipelines with various chemistries.
• Integrate multi-omics data for multimodal training datasets.
• Manage data in memory-efficient formats for GPU-accelerated training.
• Collaborate with wet-lab scientists across project design to interpretation.
• Contribute to model evaluation and benchmarking frameworks.
• Collaborate with ML modellers on model architectures.
• Present findings to internal stakeholders and contribute to publications.
