Job summary

Kharon is seeking a full-time Senior Data Scientist, Retrieval & Agentic Systems based in London. Hybrid work arrangement. The role focuses on advancing content discovery, redesigning hybrid search, and building agentic experiences to surface relevant intelligence for customers.

The candidate should have 3+ years in Data Science/ML roles, hands-on retrieval experience, and practical LLM/RAG work. A strong Python skillset and ownership mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Data Science, AI/ML engineering, or related software roles.
• Hands-on information retrieval experience including lexical search, embeddings, vector search, hybrid retrieval, ranking and evaluation.
• Practical experience building LLM-powered applications, RAG pipelines, or agentic workflows.
• Strong Python skills and ability to take ideas from prototype to production.
• Demonstrated initiative and technical ownership in ambiguous problems.
• Bonus: experience with graph-aware search or knowledge graph outputs.

Responsibilities

• Own and advance content discovery in Corestream, improving how customers find, explore, and engage with risk intelligence.
• Redesigning and improving hybrid search capabilities using BM25 tuning, semantic distance, RAG, reranking, and graph-based signals.
• Explore and build discovery experiences, including agentic search and personalized feeds across large intelligence collections.
• Drive the evolution of the narrative generation pipeline by transforming graph and analytical data into written intelligence for customers.
• Own problems end to end from opportunity identification to deployment and production improvement.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Engineering, influencing priorities and architecture while contributing hands-on.
