Our Future Health in London is seeking a Senior Data Scientist specialising in privacy, security and risk modelling to design, build and scale data-driven controls that protect participants while enabling cutting-edge research.

This hands-on role requires strong data science skills and an engineering mindset, turning privacy and security challenges into trusted algorithms, automated support and auditable decisions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience applying data science to health or sensitive datasets.
• Strong Python skills and production-quality code delivery.
• Experience with privacy-preserving methods and risk assessment.
• Ability to translate privacy challenges into data science questions.
• Excellent communication with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop data-driven approaches to disclosure control and safe outputs review.
• Collaborate with Airlock reviewers and operational users for automation.
• Assess de-identification and re-identification risk across datasets.
• Advance safe AI approaches using health data and privacy risk controls.
• Explore synthetic data generation with privacy fidelity considerations.
• Partner with Information Security on data-driven controls and monitoring.
• Build prototypes and production-quality code with engineers.
• Coordinate with governance, legal, ethics and operations teams.
• Stay current on privacy, security, and privacy-preserving methods.
