Job summary

Syngenta Crop Protection seeks a Senior Data Scientist – Predictive Science to develop ML and predictive modelling approaches guiding discovery and development of Crop Protection solutions. You will connect diverse scientific datasets with business decisions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in an international research environment.

The role offers autonomy on high-impact challenges, shaping data strategy, and mentoring junior data scientists, with strong emphasis on robust validation

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in data science, ML, statistics, maths or physics (postgraduate preferred).
• Proven experience building ML or predictive models for biological, life-science or crop-related outcomes.
• Strong Python proficiency and data-science tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate predictive models using diverse scientific data to guide decisions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support discovery and development in crop protection.
• Provide guidance on experimental design and data quality to improve modelling outcomes.
• Communicate insights through clear visuals and executive summaries.
