Job summary

Arthur Recruitment in London is partnering with a leading London Market insurance business to hire a Senior Data Scientist. This end-to-end role blends machine learning, production-grade Python, MLOps and commercial insurance to enhance profitability and automate processes.

You will work closely with underwriters and actuaries, build cloud-based ML pipelines, and explore Generative AI to drive new insights and automation while mentoring junior teammates and shaping the DS roadmap.

Qualifications

• Strong Python, SQL and production-grade software skills.
• Experience deploying ML models to production.
• ML and statistical modelling expertise.
• Hands-on MLOps, CI/CD and model monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead data science and ML projects from problem definition to production.
• Build models and insights to improve underwriting profitability.
• Collaborate with underwriters and actuaries across classes.
• Develop and maintain cloud-based ML pipelines with monitoring.
• Explore Generative AI/LLMs to drive automation.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to DS roadmap.
