Job summary

Simon James IT Ltd is seeking a Data Scientist / Senior Data Scientist / Solution Engineer for a 12-month contract based in Waterloo, London. The role sits at the intersection of advanced machine learning and robust software engineering, focusing on deploying industrial-grade applications (such as fraud detection and predictive maintenance) across key sectors for an Enterprise AI client.

Responsibilities include designing and deploying scalable ML solutions, cleaning and normalising time-series

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of ML techniques, trade-offs, and scalable ML architecture.
• Experience with time-series data, dynamical systems, SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proven experience deploying software to AWS, GCP, or Azure with Git version control.
• Domain expertise in Financial Services, Aerospace, Industrial Manufacturing, Healthcare, or Supply Chain is desirable.
• Strong portfolio of past projects (GitHub, papers, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy scalable machine learning algorithms and software solutions.
• Analyse, cleanse, and normalise complex time-series data and dynamical systems.
• Collaborate within an Agile environment to deliver robust data structures and algorithms.
