Job summary

Simon James IT Ltd is seeking a Data Scientist / Senior Data Scientist / Solution Engineer for a 12-month contract based in Waterloo, London. Responsibilities include designing and deploying scalable ML solutions, cleaning and normalising time-series

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of ML techniques, trade-offs, and scalable ML architecture.
• Experience with time-series data, dynamical systems, SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proven experience deploying software to AWS, GCP, or Azure with Git version control.
• Domain expertise in Financial Services, Aerospace, Industrial Manufacturing, Healthcare, or Supply Chain is desirable.
• Strong portfolio of past projects (GitHub, papers, etc.).

What We Are Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will need a blend of the following engineering and data science capabilities:

• Data Science & ML: Solid understanding of common ML techniques, trade-offs, and scalable ML architecture (MapReduce, streaming).
• Data Expertise: Experience with time-series data, dynamical systems, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Cloud & DevOps: Proven experience deploying software to AWS, GCP, or Azure, utilizing Git for version control.
• Industry Experience: Domain expertise in sectors such as Financial Services, Aerospace, Industrial Manufacturing, Healthcare, or Supply Chain is highly desirable.
