Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Science to join the DSAA team, driving analytics across clinical trials, genomics, imaging, and real-world data. You will lead method development, predictive modelling, and scalable pipelines in a cross-functional setting.

The role emphasizes computational science, statistical rigour, and collaboration with statisticians and clinicians to advance global development programs.

Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative field with 1+ years experience, or a Master's with 3+ years of industry experience.
• Experience in data science and statistical analysis using clinical trial or electronic health records data in pharma R&D.
• Experience developing and validating statistical and machine learning models on high-dimensional data for time-to-event, longitudinal, and multivariate outcomes.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Databricks).
• Familiarity with clinical trial design, drug development processes, and biomarkers in regulatory/clinical decision-making.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills with ability to manage concurrent projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply novel computational methods for multimodal datasets including biomarker discovery.
• Execute data science analyses on datasets from clinical trials and real-world data cohorts.
• Develop approaches to integrating, mining, and visualising diverse datasets across drug development.
• Formulate, test, and validate predictive models and scalable processes for modelling results.
• Apply AI/ML, NLP, causal ML, and explainable AI across data modalities and contexts.
• Collaborate with statisticians and cross-functional teams; communicate results clearly.
