G MASS Consulting partners with a prestigious international fund and corporate services organisation to appoint a Senior Data Scientist who will provide senior advisory and technical guidance across a foundational data programme in London. The role focuses on governance, data quality, and engineering alignment with business strategy.

The successful candidate will defend modelling decisions to technology leadership and teach foundational schema concepts to FP&A analysts, ensuring the organisation

Qualifications

• Substantial financial services domain experience (funds, corporate or fiduciary services) is required.
• 10+ years in senior advisory/lead capacity delivering recommendations, not just models.
• Expert in dimensional data modelling and semantic layer architecture; defend trade-offs.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for analysis and validation; strong data governance mindset.

Responsabilités

• Define and govern the modelling approach for the data mart and semantic layer architecture.
• Establish data science fundamentals across FP&A and data engineering teams; ensure reproducibility and documentation.
• Review team output with structured feedback; set data quality KPIs and measurement approaches.
• Advise on data governance implications of AI tooling and client data segregation.
