Job summary

TD Securities Belfast seeks a Data Scientist to join the Compliance & Supervision Technology team. You will deliver data analysis and insights supporting regulatory obligations, surveillance and risk management across Global Markets.

You will partner with Compliance, Risk and Tech stakeholders to define analytical approaches, extract and analyse complex datasets with Python, and present findings with clear visualisations to inform decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Finance, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in analytics or data science.
• Strong Python, data preparation, statistical analysis and visualization skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Compliance, Risk, Data, Technology and Business stakeholders to define analytical approaches.
• Extract, prepare and analyse complex datasets using Python and analytical tools to identify trends and exceptions.
• Validate findings statistically and present clear visualisations and recommendations.
• Work with analysts, engineers and developers to design, deliver and improve sustainable data solutions.
• Apply enterprise data, risk and governance frameworks to meet internal and external requirements.
• Identify data and control issues, support remediation and improve analytical efficiency.
• Communicate delivery progress and issues to stakeholders.
• Independently deliver complex analysis across multiple projects.
• Advise senior stakeholders on analytical findings to support decisions.
