ICIS is hiring a Senior Data Scientist/Quantitative Analyst to build predictive models and interactive analytics for global trade, shipping and logistics in our London or Karlsruhe hubs. You will co-develop market models with analysts and engineers, deploy production-ready code, and work closely with customers to translate domain knowledge into robust models.

You’ll apply optimization, statistical, and machine learning techniques to forecast prices, volumes and flows, shaping decision-support

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of predictive modelling experience in commodity markets or trading.
• Experience working directly with customers to identify and solve high-value problems.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; comfortable using Dash for analytics.

Responsabilités

• Create and continuously improve analytical commodity market models in Python (e.g., demand and supply modelling, logistics).
• Impute and clean freight, pricing, and supply/demand data from diverse sources to generate market insights.
• Build interactive analytics and planning tools (Dash) and deliver models to ICIS Data Lakehouse.
