Job summary

Forge Holiday Group is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to design, build and ship machine learning models that power pricing, personalisation, forecasting and customer experiences. You’ll work across product, commercial and engineering teams, mentoring colleagues and ensuring models are production-ready with MLOps practices.

The role is hands-on and strategic, reporting to the Head of Data Science, with a strong emphasis on delivering commercially valuable solutions and influencing business

Join Forge Holiday Group as a Senior Data Scientist!

We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science team. This is a hands‑on technical role where you’ll design, build and ship machine learning models that solve real commercial problems and help shape the future of our customer, owner and commercial experiences.

• Up to £70,000 per annum
• 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am–5:30pm
• Reporting to our Head of Data Science
• Part of our Data Science team

What you’ll be doing:

• Design, build and ship ML models that solve real business problems
• Work across areas including pricing, personalisation, forecasting and customer experience
• Turn complex business challenges into practical, commercially valuable solutions
• Take projects from problem framing and exploration through to production
• Build and maintain reliable models using modern MLOps practices
• Partner with product, commercial and engineering teams
• Mentor other Data Scientists and help raise the technical bar across the team

What you’ll bring:

• Strong hands‑on Data Science & ML experience
• Advanced Python and SQL, with pandas, scikit-learn and XGBoost/LightGBM
• Experience across areas such as forecasting, segmentation, recommendations, ranking or behavioural modelling
• Proven experience taking ML projects into production
• Strong commercial thinking and communication skills
• Experience with model monitoring, retraining and MLOps

Experience in travel, hospitality, marketplaces or consumer platforms is a bonus, as is experience with LLMs, GenAI, Azure ML or Microsoft Fabric.
