Job summary

Elsevier is seeking a Senior Data Product Manager to own a defined area of the EPH product estate, focused on the ingestion and publication of digital product data. You will align with the Head of Product Data and influence cross-team decisions while coaching analysts and driving product value.

You will collaborate with engineering and business teams to publish product data across markets and ensure a high-quality customer buying experience, leveraging AI-assisted delivery to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience writing clear, well-constrained requirements and specifications, and interest in AI-assisted delivery methods.
• Track record of owning a product or workstream end-to-end, making prioritisation calls under ambiguity.
• Ability to work from incomplete information and adapt to changing priorities.
• Proven senior stakeholder management across business and engineering teams in complex environments.
• Knowledge of data management, master data management (MDM), governance, and metadata management.

Responsibilities

• Engage stakeholders to elicit requirements for evolving product data model and translate into actionable specs.
• Capture business value and prioritise work based on outcomes and overall benefit.
• Decide prioritisation and scope across maintenance, delivery programmes, and roadmaps.
• Build relationships with business and engineering teams and drive adoption, training, and documentation.
• Write tighter, testable requirements with clarity, constraints and success criteria for AI delivery.
• Coach and develop junior and mid-level analysts and assist recruitment.
• Own a defined product area, shape roadmap priorities and long-term planning.
• Contribute to data governance, onboarding, and data-flow documentation for the wider business.
