Job Description:

Maverick Associates is recruiting for a Senior Data Processor for our client based in Sheffield. MUST BE UK BASED.

SENIOR DATA PROCESSOR OFFSHORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Data Processor is responsible for onboard processing, personnel processing, QC, and management of all relevant acquired data, including hydrographic and bathymetric data, as well as the production of related charts.

HSE Responsibilities

• Participate actively and lead by example in the company’s Quality and HSE systems and procedures.
• Understand and comply with PPE requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Be prepared to “Stop the Job” if safety is compromised.

Role Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect the quality of raw data immediately upon availability and notify online if unsuitable for processing.
• Review and adapt data processing workflows as per project requirements, recording all changes verified by the Data or Project Manager.
• Process acquired datasets using the company's processing software.
• Keep processing logs updated and report progress regularly to the Party Chief.
• Mentor junior processors and assist as needed.
• Perform quality control at each processing stage to ensure data integrity.
• Discuss requirements and final deliverables with the Party Chief regularly.
• Back up processed data daily and weekly according to company policy.
• Create or amend charts as required, including project templates.
• Follow company standards to maintain quality management systems.
• Conduct performance reviews for team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Reporting Lines

• 1st line: Party Chief / Senior Surveyor
• 2nd line: Project Manager
