Job summary

M&G plc is seeking a dedicated Privacy Advisor to protect personal data across the organisation. You will advise on privacy matters, support the Data Privacy Policy, and collaborate with stakeholders to manage privacy risks.

The role emphasizes governance, policy implementation and privacy-by-design practices. Flexible working arrangements are considered to support success in this role, including hybrid models.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a privacy role; around 10 years in total within Privacy.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR and UK data protection requirements.
• Ability to advise on privacy-related risks, controls and governance matters.
• Experience embedding privacy-by-design within business and technology environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support responses to privacy-related queries and provide advice on all aspects of data privacy.
• Escalate complex matters to the Data Protection Officer where appropriate.
• Champion and embed the Data Privacy Policy and standards across the organisation.
• Provide subject matter expertise for substantive privacy queries and higher-risk initiatives.
• Review enterprise and information architecture to ensure privacy-by-design principles are embedded.
• Build constructive relations with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on privacy legislation including UK DP requirements and GDPR obligations.
• Support the use of privacy management tools including OneTrust.
• Report privacy control management information to senior stakeholders.
