Job summary
St. James's Place is seeking a Senior Support Engineer for our Data Platform, focusing on Snowflake and Apache Airflow, based in Cirencester with a hybrid work model. You will ensure platform resilience, implement IT controls, and support the broader Technology Operations team.
You will lead incident resolution, monitor performance, and drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with architects and consultants.

Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level support to customers using Snowflake and Airflow.
- Support incident resolution and monitor platform resilience.
- Apply IT policies and controls to the platform.
- Assist technical consultants and foster continuous learning.
- Act as subject-matter expert for Snowflake and Airflow.
- Collaborate with internal and 3rd party architects on data platform design.
- Support the Technical Consultant and align with business requirements.
- Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual work.
- Ensure data security standards and governance in architecture.
- Keep up-to-date with Snowflake/Airflow trends and innovations.
- Share knowledge through mentoring and coaching.
