Job summary

Credera, a fast-growing technology and engineering organisation in the UK, seeks a Lead Engineer to drive data engineering and AI/ML delivery for client projects. You will lead complex data platforms and partner with senior stakeholders, while upskilling engineers across the team.

You will be accountable for delivering data pipelines, working with Spark, Python and SQL on AWS with services such as SageMaker, EMR, Databricks and Snowflake. Active SC clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lead multiple complex areas of data engineering delivery to time, cost and quality.
• Experience in building data pipelines using Spark, Python or SQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple, complex data engineering delivery efforts to time, cost and quality with minimal direction.
• Manage teams to deliver agreed scope and act as escalation point for decisions affecting your area.
• Build data pipelines using Spark, Python or SQL across AWS data services.
• Productionise and operate data and AI/ML solutions including Generative AI / LLM-based apps.
• Mentor engineers and provide structured development opportunities for junior staff and client counterparts.
