Job summary

PHMG is expanding its Data Engineering team to modernise the data platform and increase reliability across the organisation. We are seeking a Data Engineer with strong SQL and Python skills to design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and contribute to the Microsoft Fabric-based platform.

You will own complex data solutions end-to-end, work within a collaborative team, and help drive data strategy initiatives in a fast-growing company based in Manchester.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and Python skills for data engineering and transformation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines and datasets.
• Play a key role in developing and improving our Microsoft Fabric data platform.
• Take ownership of complex data engineering solutions from design through to production.
• Contribute to technical design and architecture decisions across data warehouse, lakehouse and data integration solutions.
• Champion strong engineering practices across source control, CI/CD, testing, documentation, monitoring and error handling.
• Work with other Data Engineers to improve data architecture, platform performance and engineering processes, providing technical guidance and mentoring where required.
• Work closely with the business to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
