Job summary

Cloud Direct is seeking a Senior Data Platform Consultant to lead the design and delivery of Microsoft Fabric projects, combining technical leadership with customer engagement to turn data challenges into meaningful outcomes.

You will mentor teammates, drive architectural decisions, and ensure governance and security across solutions, while supporting pre-sales and delivering robust documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong Microsoft Fabric expertise.
• Advanced SQL and PySpark.
• Proven experience with enterprise Power BI, semantic models and complex DAX calculations.
• Knowledge of Purview governance and data security/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of Microsoft Fabric solutions.
• Own technical workstreams across engagements.
• Facilitate customer workshops and discovery sessions.
• Design scalable Lakehouse, Warehouse and Medallion Architecture solutions.
• Define data and semantic modelling standards.
• Lead security and governance implementations.
• Mentor consultants and provide technical guidance.
• Review designs and deliverables.
• Support pre-sales activities and solution demonstrations.
• Produce high-quality solution documentation.
• Contribute to delivery methodologies and practices.
• Manage technical risks and dependencies.

As a Senior Data Platform Consultant, you'll play a pivotal role in designing and delivering Microsoft Fabric projects, bringing together technical expertise, solution design and customer engagement to turn complex data challenges into meaningful outcomes.

You'll provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, work closely with customers to understand their needs and deliver effective solutions, while mentoring and supporting fellow team members to strengthen technical capability across the team.

What you’ll be doing?

• Lead the design and delivery of Microsoft Fabric solutions.
• Own technical workstreams across customer engagements.
• Facilitate customer workshops and discovery sessions.
• Design scalable Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Medallion Architecture solutions.
• Define data modelling and semantic modelling standards.
• Lead implementation of security and governance frameworks.
• Mentor consultants and provide technical guidance.
• Review code, designs, and technical deliverables.
• Support pre-sales activities and solution demonstrations.
• Produce high-quality solution documentation.
• Contribute to practice standards and delivery methodologies.
• Manage technical risks and delivery dependencies.

What you’ll need:

• Strong Microsoft Fabric expertise.
• Advanced SQL and PySpark skills.
• Experience developing enterprise Power BI solutions, semantic models, and complex DAX calculations.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Purview and governance frameworks.
