Platform Management
- Understanding problems facing our teams, establishing whether we can help, and owning both the conversation and the solution.
- Staying ahead of major strategic developments on the account and ensuring we are prepared for changes in scope or support.
- Evaluating the entire workflow/strategy, including elements outside of our immediate responsibility, to see if we can work more intelligently.
- Taking the lead on data quality: quantifying the quality, punctuality, completeness and accuracy of our data and finding ways to improve all four.
User Management
- Being the first point of contact for confused or lost users (along with your direct report) and resolving their immediate issue while explaining why it happened and how to avoid it in the future.
- Considering how the platform might be tweaked to stop common or disruptive issues from occurring at all.
- Engaging with middle/senior management to ensure they are aware of what the platform can do, what it can’t do, and maintaining its presence in the broader conversation.
- Immediately and assertively engaging users and stakeholders when new functionality is deployed to ensure they know how it works and what it’s supposed to achieve.
Technical
- Building, testing and deploying new functionality.
- Understanding the backend of our platform and being aware of the limits of what we can reasonably do.
- Revisiting older backend elements to identify potential benefits from rebuilding them.
- Maintaining strong relationships with developers, software engineers and technical stakeholders outside of our immediate agency, including clients.

- An aptitude for platform and reporting system development, and how people with different skillsets can collaborate to deliver more data, higher quality data faster.
- A broad understanding of media buying, ad tech and taxonomies.
- A capacity to learn how different software platforms—and the different parts of a single platform—pass data between them.
