DWP Digital is recruiting a Lead Data Governance Manager to join the Chief Data Office Leadership Team. You will lead the evolution of data governance, influence senior leaders, and deliver governance products and services that enable data to be used ethically, securely and effectively.

You’ll work at the heart of our Data Strategy, shaping governance practices across a large, complex organisation. Location options include Birmingham and other digital hubs; we offer a hybrid model with flexible

Qualifications

Experience establishing, implementing and leading data governance frameworks in large organisations.
Strong understanding of balancing data value with legal, ethical, security and privacy considerations.
Ability to identify and manage strategic risks and complex issues.
Proven record of developing and delivering strategic change and governance products/services.
Proven leadership in delivering in changing organisational landscapes and driving momentum.

Responsibilities

Lead development and delivery of governance products, services, policies and frameworks.
Influence senior leaders and drive adoption of governance practices across DWP.
Ensure data is used ethically, legally and effectively and build trust in data as a strategic asset.
Lead multidisciplinary teams and oversee continuous improvement of governance services.
Collaborate with senior leaders across DWP and wider government to drive data governance maturity.
