Job summary

Olive Jar Digital Ltd is seeking an experienced Data Governance Manager to support a major public sector data transformation. The role anchors data governance, stewardship and ethical data practices across a large organisation, embedding governance across enterprise and local teams.

Working in a senior data leadership function, you will influence stakeholders, drive accountability for data lifecycle management, and lead strategic initiatives to realise the organisation's data strategy

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing, or enhancing Data Governance Frameworks.
• Strong understanding of data lifecycle, data quality and metadata management.
• Experience embedding data stewardship and ownership models.
• Experience developing data ethics policies and governance processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and senior leadership influence.

Responsibilities

• Drive accountability for data management across the full data lifecycle.
• Support deployment and continuous improvement of Data Governance Frameworks.
• Embed data ownership and stewardship across business and technical teams.
• Enable delivery of core governance capabilities aligned to data objectives.
• Promote federated governance across multiple teams and areas.
