A leading defense technology firm based in Farnborough is looking for a Senior Data Fabric Engineer to design and operate secure data capabilities for Defense and National Security. You will enable workflow automation, build data integration patterns, and implement governance/security protocols. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in data integration, platforms, and streaming technologies. Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a data/platform engineer working on distributed systems in production.
• Proven hands-on experience with open-source data integration and streaming technologies.
• Experience enabling workflow automation for technical users.
• Strong grasp of data modeling fundamentals and schema evolution.
• Designing for reliability, scalability, and operability.

Responsibilities

• Design and build our secure, open, and extensible data fabric for Defence and National Security customers.
• Create a shared paved road for quick data integration and governance.
• Build streaming ingestion and batch processing workloads using distributed technologies.
• Implement metadata, lineage and policy-based security and governance.
