Job summary

Smart Working seeks a Data Engineer to bring the organisation’s data function in‑house, taking ownership of an existing data warehouse after a structured handover. The role is ~90% data engineering with 10% reporting support and occasional IT tasks, with no UI development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience for the global Senior route.
• Advanced SQL skills and data modelling experience.
• Experience with BigQuery and dbt in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Take over the existing data warehouse from a third‑party provider and run it in‑house.
• Maintain pipelines moving ERP data into the warehouse with reliable, timely data lands.
• Develop models across staging, business logic, marts and reporting tables.
• Read existing codebase before building new models and ensure data quality tests pass.
• Collaborate with Data Analyst and data owners to answer business questions with data.
