Job summary

Nuffield Health Barbican & Epsom location is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own a functional area of the data platform, lead delivery initiatives and line-manage engineers in a distributed leadership model.

You will design, build and operate robust ingestion, transformation and integration solutions on Snowflake, dbt and Azure, ensure observability, and contribute to the technical roadmap while coaching junior engineers.

Qualifications

Extensive hands-on data engineering across integration, modelling and warehousing.
Strong SQL skills and experience with ETL/ELT tools.
Experience developing integration solutions via APIs, files and databases.
Experience leading delivery and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

Own a defined functional area of the data platform and set standards and tooling.
Lead end-to-end delivery with Product Owners, Delivery Managers and partners.
Line manage engineers and oversee resource planning.
Design, build and operate ingestion, integration and transformation on Snowflake, dbt and Azure.
Ensure solutions are operable, observable and supportable.
Coach mid-level engineers to grow future leaders.
Contribute to the technical roadmap and engineering maturity.
Escalate risks and communicate with stakeholders clearly.
