Intelligent Talent Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Senior Data Engineer for a Leeds-based hybrid role. You will design, build and deploy production data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, with emphasis on Lakehouse, Warehouse and OneLake.

You will leverage Power BI, SQL and data modelling to create robust data pipelines, integrate APIs, and support Azure data platforms while aligning with regulated environment requirements. Occasional travel to London or Birmingham may occur.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience with continuity beyond initial implementation.
• Strong Power BI experience.
• Data engineering with SQL and data modelling.
• Experience with ETL/ELT and Azure data platforms.
• Experience integrating internal and third-party APIs.
• Experience with Git/source control.
• CI/CD and deployment experience.
• Production data solutions in regulated environments.
• Financial services experience preferred (wealth management / banking / insurance).
• Azure Synapse experience would be useful.
• Practical use of Copilot or another LLM in engineering work would be useful.
• Relocation or commuting within Leeds area.
• Hybrid office attendance up to three days per week if required.

Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements

• We need you to have genuine hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience in your current or most recent role, with continuity beyond initial implementation.
• We expect strong experience with Power BI.
• We need strong data engineering skills, including SQL and data modelling.
• We expect experience with ETL/ELT.
• We need experience with Azure data platforms.
• We expect experience integrating internal and third-party APIs.
• We need experience with Git/source control.
• We expect experience with CI/CD and deployment.
• We need experience building and supporting production data solutions.
• We need experience working in a highly regulated environment.
• We strongly prefer previous Financial Services experience, particularly Wealth Management, Banking, or Insurance.
• Azure Synapse experience would be useful, but it is not essential.
• Practical use of Copilot or another LLM in engineering work would be useful.
• You need to live within approximately one hours commute of Leeds.
• You need to be prepared to work from an office up to three days per week if future business requirements change.

This Senior Data Engineer role is based in Leeds on a hybrid working arrangement, with current office attendance typically two days per month in either London or Birmingham.
