Job summary

Nuffield Health is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own a defined area of our data platform, set standards and lead delivery initiatives. You will drive end-to-end solutions with cross-functional teams.

You will line-manage engineers and collaborate with Product Owners, architects and data analysts to design robust ingestion, integration and transformation on Snowflake, dbt and Azure Data Factory.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on data engineering across ingestion, integration and warehousing.
• Proficient in SQL with experience on Snowflake and MS SQL Server.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools like Talend, Azure Data Factory and dbt.
• Strong leadership, mentoring and collaboration with product and delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Own a defined functional area of the data platform and set standards.
• Lead end-to-end delivery with Product Owners and architects.
• Line manage engineers and allocate external resources as needed.
• Design, build and operate ingestion, integration and transformation on Snowflake and Azure.
• Ensure solutions are observable, operable and well-documented.
